About TCP
Tyrone Community Players (TCP) has been part of the Tyrone community for over 40 years! We’re proud to bring high-quality, family-friendly theatre right to our hometown. From classic favorites to new works, we love introducing our audiences to stories that inspire, entertain, and connect. Over the years, we’ve made people laugh and cry—sometimes all in the same show!
We love discovering new scripts, bringing them to life, and inviting our community into the creative process every step of the way.
Our Theatre Journey
For many years, TCP performed in a beautiful space at the local YMCA. Unfortunately, after a flood in 2004, we lost our venue and found ourselves without a permanent home. In a bold step forward, we purchased the historic library on Logan Avenue with a vision to transform its ground floor into our own theatre space.
However, renovations are ongoing—and we still need community support to make the space fully accessible and ready for audiences. Most urgently, we must build a handicap-accessible ramp before we can open to the public.
Our Current Home & Future Needs
While we plan for renovations, TCP currently performs at St. Matthew’s Church in Tyrone. We produce 2 to 3 shows per year, offering something for everyone. If you haven’t seen a show yet, we invite you to join us. Check out our Events page to see what’s coming up next!
Whether you’re a first-time guest or a longtime supporter, thank you for being part of our story. And if you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to have you—just head over to the Contact Us page to get involved!
